Acne Laser and Light Treatments
Blue Light is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that uses a visible, 400 nanometer light source to treat bacteria associated with acne vulgaris. This light is FDA approved for the treatment of moderate acne and can be administered alone or in combination with topical application of aminolevulinic acid (ALA), or Levulan. Skin Cancer Screenings
Skin cancer is the most common malignancy in the United States and its incidence is increasing worldwide. Two of the most common are called basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and are located in areas of the skin that have frequent sun exposure. Most often these types of skin cancer are easily treated without any lasting effects, however there still exists a minimal chance of these skin cancers spreading to other parts of the body (metastasize). Although less common, malignant melanoma is an extremely dangerous form of skin cancer due to its high propensity to metastasize. Dr. Wongkittiroch is amazing! Compassionate, unhurried, and truly attentive, she made a stressful visit feel calm and reassuring. It was more than worth the 8 hour round trip drive I made from my home in north central Florida! And her assistant, Priya, was wonderfully personable and so considerate — even stepping into the exam room while I was waiting to reassure me the doctor was still with another patient but would come in soon.
