Vitalitea - Skin Introduce
For those of us in California seeking new skincare solutions, it’s always wise to research a business thoroughly before making a commitment. Vitalitea - Skin, located in the scenic community of Coronado, has garnered attention from local users, and it’s important to understand the experiences reported by customers. This overview aims to provide factual information based on public reviews, allowing potential visitors to make informed decisions. While the allure of new skincare products and treatments can be strong, understanding previous customer interactions is a crucial step in navigating the local beauty landscape here in California.
Vitalitea - Skin is physically located at 1201 1st St Suite 108, Coronado, CA 92118, USA. This address places it within a prominent area of Coronado, a popular destination for both residents and tourists. Its presence on 1st Street, a well-known thoroughfare on Coronado Island, makes it geographically accessible for those in the immediate vicinity and those visiting the island. However, accessibility extends beyond just physical location to the ease and trustworthiness of interaction with a business. As we delve into the reported customer experiences, it becomes clear that while the physical location might be straightforward to find, the nature of engagement with this establishment warrants careful consideration.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the specific "services" offered by Vitalitea - Skin appear to revolve primarily around the direct sale of skincare products, particularly for wrinkle treatment. The approach described in reviews indicates:
- Direct Product Sales: Customers were reportedly encouraged to purchase creams and other skincare products on-site.
- "Wrinkle Treatment" Demonstrations: One review mentions an attempt to provide a "wrinkle treatment" using a cream. This seems to be a demonstration intended to lead to a sale.
- High-Value Product Transactions: Reports indicate attempts to charge significant amounts ($2000) for products.
- Lack of Clear Service Menu: There is no indication of traditional spa services, such as facials, consultations, or ongoing aesthetic treatments in the manner of a typical skincare clinic. The focus appears to be exclusively on immediate product sales.
The provided customer reviews highlight several significant features and concerns regarding Vitalitea - Skin, which are crucial for prospective clients in California to be aware of:
- Aggressive and Pushy Sales Tactics: Multiple reviews describe highly persistent and aggressive sales approaches, including salesmen accosting people on the street and following them, and insisting on product trials or purchases.
- Lack of Transparency in Pricing and Product Information: Customers reported unclear pricing, lack of itemization on receipts, and products being charged for without explicit consent or desire. There were also concerns about a lack of information on business cards (no email, no name, no website).
- Issues with Refunds and Returns: A significant concern is the reported refusal to honor returns or reimbursements, despite website claims of a return policy.
- Suspect Business Practices: Allegations include a lack of visible business license, different names on receipts and bags, and attempts to extract money from credit card accounts after initial transactions were made.
- Insulting Sales Dialogue: One customer reported being insulted by a salesman who commented on "bags under eyes" and questioned their friend's ability to "think for herself."
- Disregard for Customer Concerns (e.g., Allergies): A salesman reportedly insisted that customers could not be allergic to "natural products," dismissing legitimate allergy concerns.
- Targeting Vulnerable Individuals: There are explicit concerns raised about taking advantage of elderly individuals and tourists who may have limited time or knowledge of local regulations.
- Unresponsiveness: The provided phone numbers reportedly go unanswered, and there's a noted absence of email contact.
- Concerns about Legitimacy: Phrases like "very phony" and "seems to be a cover up for scamming" are used by customers to describe their overall impression of the business practices.
Based on the provided information, the contact details for Vitalitea - Skin are:
- Address: 1201 1st St Suite 108, Coronado, CA 92118, USA
- Phone: (619) 407-9501
- Mobile Phone: +1 619-407-9501
However, it is explicitly mentioned in customer reviews that the provided phone numbers "don’t answer the phone," and there is "no e-mail" or "website on the business card." Potential customers should be aware of these reported difficulties in establishing contact.
For Californians considering Vitalitea - Skin in Coronado, it is imperative to approach with extreme caution. Based on numerous detailed customer reviews, this establishment presents significant red flags that make it highly unsuitable for locals or anyone seeking trustworthy and ethical skincare services. The reported aggressive sales tactics, lack of transparency in pricing, alleged refusal of returns, and concerns about legitimate business practices (such as visible licenses or consistent branding) are deeply troubling. Customers have reported feeling pressured, insulted, and even scammed, with attempts to overcharge or extract money. While the desire for healthy skin is universal, the experiences shared by previous patrons suggest that engaging with Vitalitea - Skin could lead to frustration, financial loss, and a profoundly negative experience. For residents of California who value professionalism, honesty, and clear communication from their local businesses, it would be prudent to prioritize other skincare providers in the region that have a well-established reputation for ethical conduct and customer satisfaction. It is highly recommended to thoroughly research and verify any claims and to be extremely wary of high-pressure sales environments, particularly when dealing with credit card information and large sums of money.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I went to the VitaliTea store in Carmel by the Sea. The store Attendant said I have to pay for the cream before I try the wrinkle treatment. They charged for the cream and 2000$ for a product that I did not even want. I had to get back to my ride because I was with a senior group. He then said the amount is not reimbursable. I had to leave and I immediately cancelled my credit card. I found out later he tried to extract money out of my account. But my credit card company already deemed it suspicious. The website says you can return. But the store refused. They also have no e-mail, no name, no website on the business card and they don’t answer the phone. They have no business license visible. No address, phone number, a different name on the receipt and no itemization on the receipt and the bag has a different name. Very phony and seems to be a cover up for scamming. Especially tourists spots where people have limited time. They take down your credit card number and extract money for a product you don’t even want. Take advantage of elderly.
Jun 17, 2022 · Rosemarie AndrewsAccosted by a very pushy salesman in the street in front of the shop as we walked by. He was persistent stating his productsinsisted were healthy and all natural. He actually gestured and said coming in would help me with the bags under my eyes. He was rather insulting and either didn't realize it or didn'tcare. I attempted multiple times while walking away to explain to him that I have many allergies and did not want to try any of the products. He apparently was unable to understand that people can have allergies to natural products. He insisted it was not possible to be allergic to his products. As we walked away we were followed as he insisted we take samples which we promptly placed on the table near his shop. to push approaching me in the street hand me a packet of a cream which I eventually tossed onto a table near the shop. He insulted my friend by telling her she could not think for herself as she continued walking as well. He asked was she doing everything that I did because she was incapable of having her own thoughts. Would never ever enter this store under any circumstances. I'm sure if this salesman continues in this manner the store won't be there for long.
Sep 24, 2022 · MartyUnreliable staff, I had an appt at 10:00 on 2/25/22, I received an email that morning reminding me of my appt. When I got to the salon I was told that I cancelled my appt which I didn't. I informed the receptionist that I received a confirmation this morning. I was very disappointed that I made the drive only to be told that I didn't have an appointment. Maybe next try calling a person if you're going to cancel at the last minute and inform the reception, so she doesn't give wrong information such as I cancelled the appointment!!
Feb 27, 2022 · Anna ALet's just start with that fact that I felt unsafe in a store with no one in the front end of the place. Before we even started, she told me they are closing early, and the face mask will be cut short. I wasn't given a name; I don't feel like she knew what she was doing. ONLY got 1 hour. It was plain AWFUL. Don't fall for the cheap cost, it's the cheapest service and products are Basic. I'll never go back.
Feb 26, 2022 · Tiffany AlvordMeh! She was good but she didn’t do much extraction (cleaning my pores) wasn’t impressed…. And she cut it short 45 min vs 1.5 hours .. Led treatment is what I went for and didn’t get…. Thumbs down, not to mention he hot tea kettle for hot water, she didn’t give much direction on or about jewelry or top(leave in or off). Not too moteases and false advertising. $500 for three treatments.., ya nope!
