New York Threading Salon Introduce
Welcome, New Yorkers, to an honest and informative look at **New York Threading Salon**, a local spot nestled right here in the bustling heart of Manhattan. In our fast-paced city, finding reliable and convenient beauty services that fit into our demanding schedules is essential. New York Threading Salon aims to be that quick, go-to destination for essential beauty treatments. This article is designed to give you, our fellow New Yorkers, a clear picture of what you can expect from this establishment, drawing directly from real customer experiences to help you make an informed decision. We'll explore its services, accessibility, and the overall vibe, all from the perspective of a local user navigating the diverse beauty landscape of New York City.
New York Threading Salon positions itself as a place for speedy and efficient beauty services, particularly for eyebrow threading and waxing. Its appeal often lies in its convenience and the ability to get in and out quickly, a highly valued trait in our city. While convenience is a major draw, understanding the nuances of customer experiences, especially for those with sensitive skin, is key to managing expectations. This overview will delve into both the positive aspects, such as location and speed, and areas where customers have expressed concerns, providing a balanced view for anyone considering a visit to this salon.
---
For New Yorkers, **location and accessibility** are paramount when choosing any service, and beauty salons are no exception. New York Threading Salon is conveniently located at **362 W 110th St, New York, NY 10025, USA**. This address places it squarely in a lively residential and commercial area of Upper Manhattan, specifically in the Morningside Heights/Harlem vicinity. For many locals in these neighborhoods, its location is exceptionally convenient, making it an easy stop during daily errands or commutes.
West 110th Street is a major cross-town thoroughfare, connecting various parts of Manhattan and providing excellent connectivity. For those relying on public transportation, the salon is within walking distance of several subway lines, including the 1, B, and C trains, making it accessible from different parts of the city. Numerous bus routes also traverse W 110th Street and Broadway, further enhancing its reach. The ability to simply "walk by this place daily" for some residents underscores its integration into the daily routines of the local community. While street parking in New York City can always be a challenge, the robust public transport network and its central location in a residential area mean that accessibility is a significant draw for potential clients looking for a quick service.

New York Threading Salon primarily focuses on essential beauty maintenance services. Based on the customer reviews provided, the main **services offered** revolve around hair removal techniques, catering to individuals looking for quick and efficient treatments. The core offerings highlighted are:
- **Eyebrow Threading:** This appears to be a flagship service, as mentioned by a customer who "got my eyebrows threaded here." Threading is a traditional hair removal method that uses a thin, twisted cotton thread to roll over unwanted hair, plucking it at the follicle level. It is often favored for its precision and ability to create clean lines, particularly for eyebrows.
- **Waxing Services:** One review mentions "painful waxing/Threading services," indicating that waxing is also offered. Waxing involves applying warm wax to the skin and removing it, along with the unwanted hair, from the root. This is typically used for larger areas or for clients who prefer this method over threading.
While the reviews specifically mention these two services, salons specializing in threading and waxing often provide related services such as facial hair threading (e.g., upper lip, chin), or other minor facial hair removal treatments. The emphasis seems to be on quick, walk-in friendly services that address immediate beauty needs for facial hair shaping and removal. Customers seeking a fast turnaround for their eyebrow grooming or other hair removal needs would find these services readily available.

New York Threading Salon possesses several key **features and highlights** that shape the customer experience, as reflected in the provided reviews. While some aspects might be viewed differently depending on individual preferences and skin types, these points collectively define what the salon offers:
- **High Convenience and Speed:** A major draw for New Yorkers is the salon's efficiency. Customers appreciate being "in and out within five minutes," making it an ideal spot for those with limited time or seeking "on a whim" services. This swift service delivery is a significant advantage in a city where time is precious.
- **Accessible Location:** Situated on W 110th St, the salon benefits from a "very convenient location" for local residents, especially those who "walk by this place daily." Its integration into a bustling neighborhood enhances its appeal as a readily available beauty spot.
- **Friendly Customer Service:** Despite some negative experiences with the service itself, the customer service received praise. One reviewer noted that "the woman I went to was absolutely lovely and their customer service was great," suggesting a welcoming and polite staff. This can significantly influence a customer's willingness to give a place a second chance.
- **Potential for Painful Experience (for some):** A recurring highlight/concern is the reported pain level during treatments. Described as "one of the most painful waxing/Threading services I have ever received," this is a significant point for individuals, particularly those with "extremely sensitive and reactive skin."
- **Risk of Cuts/Bleeding (isolated incidents):** One customer reported "multiple cuts" and "literally bleeding" during an eyebrow threading service. While the salon stated "this has never happened," this highlights a potential risk, especially for those with delicate skin or if brows are not held correctly.
- **Mixed Results on Skin Reaction:** While one customer did not leave with immediate bleeding like they had at other places, they were waiting to "see how my skin reacts before deciding if I will ever go back." This suggests variability in post-treatment skin reactions.
These features indicate that while the salon offers unparalleled convenience and friendly service, individuals with sensitive skin or a low pain tolerance might need to approach their visit with caution and manage their expectations regarding the intensity of the threading or waxing experience.

For New Yorkers considering a visit to New York Threading Salon, having the correct **contact information** is essential for planning your trip or making inquiries. Here are the details to reach out to the salon:
Address: **362 W 110th St, New York, NY 10025, USA**
Phone: **(212) 222-3203**
Mobile Phone: **+1 212-222-3203**
Given the salon's emphasis on quick, in-and-out services, it's possible that walk-ins are readily accommodated. However, if you have specific questions or want to confirm availability during peak hours, a quick phone call can be beneficial. The staff should be able to provide information on their services, hours of operation, and any current wait times. Utilizing this contact information will allow you to plan your visit efficiently and ensure a smoother experience at New York Threading Salon.
---
In **conclusion**, New York Threading Salon presents itself as a highly convenient option for locals in New York City, particularly for those seeking swift eyebrow threading and waxing services. Its prime location on W 110th St makes it incredibly accessible for residents in Upper Manhattan, integrating seamlessly into daily routines. The ability to be "in and out within five minutes" is a significant advantage in our fast-paced city, catering to individuals who prioritize speed and efficiency in their beauty treatments.
However, for New Yorkers with "extremely sensitive and reactive skin" or a low pain tolerance, it's important to approach a visit with managed expectations. While the salon is praised for its "absolutely lovely" staff and great customer service, some reviews indicate that the services can be quite painful, with isolated instances of cuts or bleeding reported. This highlights a trade-off between speed and a potentially more intense experience, especially when compared to other establishments.
Ultimately, New York Threading Salon is most suitable for locals who value extreme convenience and quick turnaround times above all else, and who may have a higher tolerance for discomfort during threading or waxing. For those living or working nearby who need an immediate eyebrow fix or other basic hair removal, and are willing to potentially experience a more intense service for the sake of speed, this salon offers a viable "on a whim" solution. While it may not be the ideal choice for everyone, particularly those with very sensitive skin or seeking a pampering, pain-free experience, its accessibility and efficiency make it a practical consideration for a segment of the New York City population. It's a local spot that gets the job done, swiftly, for those who need it.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1got my eyebrows threaded here & really wanted to like It 😭.Unfortunately she cut me multiple times & i am in excruciating pain from multiple cuts to the point which i am literally bleeding. When I pointed It out to her, she stated she did not see. then eventually said she sees It & “this has never happened, maybe you didn’t hold your brows correctly”… after SHE cut me..I am so extremely disappointed & have no intentions of returning.
Mar 29, 2025 · Saffale BegumIt’s a very convenient location for me, and I was in and out within five minutes. However, it was one of the most painful waxing/Threading services I have ever received. I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin And one could think that waxing and threading is just that, but depending on who you go to it CAN feel different. Now, I’ve been to other places where it hurt less, but I’ve left with my skin actually bleeding a bit, that’s not the case here so I’m going to wait until tonight to see how my skin reacts before deciding if I will ever go back. I do however, have a place I prefer which is on 101st St. and Broadway, but since I’m a dog walker and walk by this place daily, I wouldn’t mind having another place. I can go to if needed on a whim. I also should have mentioned that the woman I went to was absolutely lovely and their customer service was great. Probably the main reason I will give them another try if my skin doesn’t react badly
Dec 28, 2024 · xtine0987Anu,She does great eyebrow threading. I highly recommend this place.
May 31, 2025 · Karen JeffinI have been going to this place for many years. While the atmosphere could use a lot of improvement (chairs are ripped and dirty) the threading was always good. However, today the woman who helped me, Mira, was unnecessarily rude and overly persistent on trying to upsell me for other services. I am happy to find a new place for threading so I do not have to interact with her again.
Oct 04, 2024 · Linda Talarico PaulsonAmazing service! Both Dolly and Neelam always do a fabulous job. Been getting my eyebrows threaded here for the past 5 years. Great, convenient place for Columbia students. And affordable too!
