This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of what you can expect from this local skin care destination, helping you make informed decisions about your skin health.
The Jamaica Center Dermatology Group is a skin care clinic committed to providing comprehensive dermatological care. They understand that healthy skin contributes significantly to overall well-being and confidence. From addressing common skin conditions to offering advanced cosmetic procedures, this clinic strives to be a go-to resource for residents seeking professional skin care solutions right here in New York.
As a local New Yorker, convenience and accessibility are key. The Jamaica Center Dermatology Group is strategically located at 147-17 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica, NY 11435, USA. This address places it right in the heart of Jamaica, Queens, making it easily reachable for many residents in the borough and surrounding areas.
The clinic's location on Jamaica Avenue means it is well-served by public transportation. For those relying on the subway, the E, F, and J lines provide direct access, with stations typically within a comfortable walking distance. Numerous MTA bus lines also service the Jamaica Avenue corridor, offering additional convenience for patients traveling from various neighborhoods. While traffic in New York can sometimes be unpredictable, especially coming from areas like Long Island as noted in a customer review, the robust public transit network aims to mitigate some of these challenges. It’s always advisable to plan your journey and allow ample time, particularly if you have a scheduled appointment. For those who prefer to drive, street parking availability can vary, so consider checking local parking regulations or utilizing nearby parking garages if available.
The Jamaica Center Dermatology Group offers a comprehensive array of services designed to address both medical and cosmetic skin concerns. Their commitment is to provide personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Medical Dermatology: This includes the diagnosis and treatment of a wide spectrum of skin conditions affecting all ages. Common concerns such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and warts are routinely managed. They also focus on the crucial aspect of skin cancer detection and prevention, including regular mole checks and screenings. Management of infections and infestations, along with issues related to hair loss and nail disorders, also falls under their medical dermatology expertise.
Cosmetic Dermatology: For those looking to enhance their skin's appearance and address signs of aging, the clinic provides a range of aesthetic treatments. These may include:
Facials & Skincare: Professional facial treatments and personalized skincare regimens to improve skin health and appearance.
Injectables & Fillers: Services such as Botox and dermal fillers to reduce wrinkles, restore volume, and enhance facial contours.
Laser Resurfacing: Treatments to improve skin texture, reduce scars, and address pigmentation issues.
Chemical Peels: Various types of chemical peels to exfoliate the skin, improve tone, and reduce imperfections.
Microneedling & Dermabrasion: Procedures aimed at stimulating collagen production and improving skin texture, particularly for acne scars and fine lines.
Skin Tightening: Non-invasive procedures to firm and lift sagging skin.
Mesotherapy: A technique that involves injecting vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin, as well as remove excess fat.
Skin Lightening Treatment: Solutions for hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.
Surgical Dermatology: For conditions requiring surgical intervention, such as the removal of certain skin lesions or skin cancers, the clinic is equipped to handle these procedures. This can include cyst excisions, skin tag removal, and potentially more advanced procedures like Mohs surgery, depending on the specific practice's offerings and the dermatologists' specializations.
The Jamaica Center Dermatology Group distinguishes itself through several key features and highlights that contribute to a positive patient experience, though it is important to consider all available feedback.
Comprehensive Care: The clinic aims to provide a full spectrum of dermatological services, meaning patients can often address diverse skin, hair, and nail concerns in one location without needing multiple referrals elsewhere. This integrated approach saves patients time and effort.
Personalized Treatment Plans: A core aspect of their approach is understanding that every individual's skin is unique. They strive to develop customized skincare regimens and treatment plans that align with specific patient needs, skin types, and desired outcomes.
Focus on Patient Education: While not explicitly stated in all public information, a professional dermatology practice typically prioritizes educating patients about their skin conditions and treatment options. This empowers patients to take an active role in their skin health journey.
Modern Facilities and Technology: As part of the broader Infinity Dermatology network, the clinic likely benefits from state-of-the-art technology and modern facilities, aiming to provide high-quality treatments in a comfortable and safe environment.
Acceptance of Most Insurances: A significant advantage for New York residents is that the broader Infinity Dermatology group, which Jamaica Center Dermatology is part of, reportedly accepts a very high percentage of insurance plans (98%). This can make quality dermatological care more accessible and affordable for a wider range of patients.
Accessibility to Expertise: Being part of a larger group like Infinity Dermatology, which is led by recognized professionals, suggests that the Jamaica Center location benefits from shared expertise and a commitment to high standards of care across its network.
Varied Customer Experiences: It's important to acknowledge that customer experiences can vary. While one review highlights a very clean place with friendly staff and clear explanations of treatments, another indicates challenges with punctuality policies, perceived rudeness, and difficulty for non-English speakers. This suggests that while there are certainly positive aspects to the clinic's service, some areas of patient interaction and communication may require attention.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Only because my mom was 15 minutes late, they made her wait another 2 hours and treated her poorly. The location is in a bad place she tried to explain the road was blocked and there was too much traffic coming from long Island. They are not understanding at all. They need to give proper reminders because we had to call also to make sure if there was appointment or not. They are extremely rude and act however they want to act with people that don’t speak good English or is a little lost. I would definitely give 0 stars if I can and definitely considering to change her dermatology place.

Jul 15, 2025 · Blanca SantiagoThis time dermatology is a joke. The man who I seen the Jewish man I’m assuming because he had on the Jewish hat, just kept looking at me up and down and observing me the whole entire time. I was talking to him about my eye and just looking at me because I’m trans and observing me, he was not worried about my eye, which was the biggest concern. He did not care to give as many details. It honestly was giving a little bit of trans phobic and he didn’t really care what I had to say because he was noticing the whole time that I was trans. All this man said was go to CVS and buy some cream for eczema a chronic disease. He was very careless he looked uninterested and he looked like he was just ready to hurry up and just say something real quick to just get me out of the office so he can see the next person to do the same thing. These people are just waiting for their checks to hit. They do not care that people are having issues with their skin. They do not care that these are peoples Lives and dealing with things like eczema and skin issues, chronic disease, etc. can give people mental issues and have people battling mentally with their selves and dealing with insecurities like we come to these Dermatologist for help and y’all carelessly either just throw us a cream or a steroid cream quickly to get us out the office or you just say something in 2.5 seconds just to get us out the office. This place is a joke. Do not come here go to any other Dermatologist. There are other Infinity Dermatologist with their Dermatologist actually care and if you’re a woman ask for a woman Dermatologist, these men are absolutely clueless and careless and dumb. I don’t even know why they let men do this. They are not into the skin like women are
Jul 09, 2025 · Mya LisNot impressed thus far. I was told I needed a referral. I got the referral. Went to the appointment to be seen for 2 minutes and told come back in 2 weeks for actual service. They just charged my insurance $315 for 2 minutes of the provider telling me I won’t be getting seen until a later date. The later date comes, then they claim they have to await approval from the insurance. They are claiming it takes 2 weeks for the insurance to approve, but the reality is they have to wait 2 weeks to bill my insurance again, because the first visit was completely pointless.I get a call from the office telling me I need a new referral to be seen at the follow up appointment. Literally makes NO sense. I spoke to billing and they couldn’t explain why this was the case. Called the main office and they couldn’t explain why either. Absolutely redundant and a waste of time to get an another referral for the same service that already HAD a referral. I need someone to explain why I need multiple referrals for the same service provider within a 2 week span.
