Features / Highlights
Public feedback provides insights into various aspects of Huntington Dermatology & Cosmetic. While some reviews highlight challenges, understanding these points can help manage expectations:
- Appointment Scheduling: It appears there can be significant wait times for initial appointments, with one review noting a "4-month wait to be seen." This suggests the clinic may have a high demand for its services.
- Communication Regarding Delays: Patient feedback indicates that the clinic may experience delays, and communication about these delays could be improved. One customer noted waiting an extended period without being informed of the doctor running behind until they initiated contact.
- Patient Experience with Reception: Interactions with the front desk staff appear to be a point of concern for some, with comments about lack of prompt acknowledgment and communication regarding wait times upon arrival.
- Diagnosis and Treatment Efficacy: One review highlighted a severe concern regarding misdiagnosis and ineffective treatment by a specific practitioner, Jill Brown, leading to "permanent scarring" and the need for a second opinion to correctly diagnose and treat conditions like eczema and folliculitis. This underscores the importance of patient advocacy and seeking second opinions if a diagnosis or treatment plan doesn't align with expectations or show improvement.
- Professionalism: Based on a patient's experience with long wait times and lack of proactive communication, the overall office professionalism was questioned.
It's important for prospective patients to consider all available feedback and if possible, discuss any concerns directly with the clinic or their referring physician.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BEWARE OF JILL BROWN!!! She misdiagnosed me for 8+ months after a 4 month wait to be seen causing me PERMANENT SCARRING. She has a condescending attitude and I kept trying to say her medication and diagnosis wasn’t correcting my problem. She said I had acne and dermatitis. Second opinion dermatologist said she’s dead wrong, I have eczema and folliculitis. Within 2 days of second opinion doctor’s meds I started improving. 6 weeks later my conditions cleared up entirely. I have permanent scars from my mistreatment which exacerbated my conditions. Thanks for nothing Jill.
Feb 07, 2024 · Julie MI had an appointment at 3:15pm, I showed up at 3:18pm because I had to walk all around the building to find the entrance. Each office has a number associated with it. Once I arrived I gave reception my completed forms that I had filled out ahead a time, he asked me for my number and asked me to stay in my vehicle until they call me in. Right there he should of advised me that the doctor was running behind because I ended up calling from my car at 3:45pm and asked if I was going to be called in soon. At this time a women answered my call and said "sorry but the doctor is running behind". I said okay and completed my call with the office. I continued to wait in my vehicle until 4:04pm and the walked in to see if maybe they forgot about me at this point. I walked in and waited another 5 minutes before being acknowledged by the staff. Finally they asked me if I needed anything and asked when will I be seen because at this point its a little after 4pm and I have to be somewhere at 5pm. I said how long is it going to take and the women behind desk apologized and said she is going to take you back to the room now. It was too long of a wait and wasted my time. I said I cant wait anymore in the office for the doctor and asked for my packet I filled out back. I walked out of the office at 4:12pm. Honestly all they could of done was call me and asked me to come in later or explained from the beginning that they were running behind and could of given me an option to stay or reschedule. I didn't even meet the doctor, so this bad review is based on reception but also gives you a feel for what kind of office this is. ( not professional at all ) Doctor should communicate better with its staff. The only reason why I reached out to them in the first place was because they had good reviews. Won't be back.

Mar 29, 2018 · Debbie DavidI have been treated by Dr Smith and Jill Brown ANP. In addition my daughter who is autistic has been treated by both of them for several concerns. Not only have we received excellent care but both of these medical professionals are so compassionate that it is truly heart warming. Treating someone with special needs requires more time and patience. It also often involves time consuming paperwork and coordination of care. Dr Smith, Jill Brown ANP and this office, go the extra mile for their patients.
