## Services Offered
FMH Advanced Skin-Wound Care specializes in a broad spectrum of services aimed at treating various types of complex and non-healing wounds. Their comprehensive approach ensures that patients receive tailored care based on their specific condition. Here are some of the key services you can expect:
- Comprehensive Wound Evaluation: A thorough assessment of the wound and underlying health conditions contributing to its non-healing nature.
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): A non-invasive treatment that involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which can significantly enhance the body's natural healing process, particularly for chronic wounds, infections, and radiation injuries.
- Advanced Wound Dressings: Application of specialized dressings and materials designed to create an optimal healing environment, manage exudate, and protect the wound.
- Wound Debridement: Removal of dead or unhealthy tissue from the wound to promote healing and reduce the risk of infection.
- Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT): Also known as vacuum-assisted closure (VAC), this treatment uses suction to help heal wounds by drawing out fluid and promoting blood flow.
- Cellular and Tissue-Based Products: Application of advanced biologics, such as skin grafts or substitutes, to aid in the regeneration of tissue for complex wounds.
- Management of Chronic Wounds: Specialized care for persistent wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers (bedsores), venous ulcers, and arterial ulcers.
- Surgical Wound Care: Treatment for wounds resulting from surgical procedures that may be slow to heal or have complications.
- Traumatic Wound Care: Addressing wounds sustained from injuries, including mild to moderate burns and other acute traumatic incidents.
- Infection Control: Strategies and treatments to prevent and manage wound infections, which can severely impede healing.
- Patient and Caregiver Education: Providing essential information and guidance on at-home wound care, prevention strategies, and how to identify potential complications.

- Patient and Family Education: The team emphasizes empowering patients and their caregivers with the knowledge and skills needed for effective at-home wound care, recurrence prevention, and early detection of issues.
- Integrated Care Approach: As part of Frederick Health, the clinic can seamlessly coordinate care with other specialists, such as vascular surgeons, podiatrists, infectious disease experts, and nutritionists, to address all contributing factors to wound development.
- Commitment to Healing: The positive feedback from patients, such as the one noting a year-long battle with a wound that finally healed, highlights the clinic's dedication and success in challenging cases. FMH Advanced Skin-Wound Care Reviews
infectionhealed
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The doctor and nurses at the Frederick Health Wound Care Center were phenomenal in the care and attentiveness to my aunt. Other doctors said her wound would never heal, but with the help of this wound care team, after a year long battle, she has been healed for almost 2 years now. Eternally grateful to them!!
Jun 21, 2024 · pepper bDO NOT BOOK HERE! Doctor refuses to apply any numbing agent to remove escar and scabs, prescribed the wrong dressings for wound, and did not catch an infection. Hands down one of the worst experiences of my life. Please do not go here!!!
Aug 27, 2024 · Mark DykesHow unacceptable to have a 3 week wait for 2 deep, 8 inch long open surgical wounds ??? Had to be sent elsewhere due to infections and this ungodly wait time !! DO BETTER FREDERICK HEALTH !!!! I would give 0 stars if I could !
Oct 25, 2024 · Lynn MontgomeryF doctors who back out of an appointment and don't cancel. F that. I went to the wound care center today 45 miles round trip to have nurses change my wrap. How could you possibly think this is OK. You just put this wrap on Friday. We could have just changed it this coming Thursday when I already have an appointment. Yet another example of the inconsiderateness of doctors. Do not bill me or my insurance as I will be telling the world. I do not need nurses to validate my anger. In case there is ANY confusion I would not have gone to the wound care center just to change a wrap. Ask the health care workers who did help me how messed up and selfish you schedule. I was on time, they took me 40 minutes late to change a wrap NOT meet this other doctor. You people can pick up the phone and cancel like everyone else. It would have been nice to have a second doctor look at it but FFFFFF. I will be coming back to see doctor Haider on Thursday. Dr. Haider is good. I will be reviewing the wound care center again. Do not hold me up by your rotten schedule again. Do not pretend that these things were outside of your control as I already don't believe you.
