I had an appointment for a 1 hour mini facial. My appointment was for originally at 12:30 PM and one day before Amy texted me to ask if we can move it to 11 AM. That was perfectly fine with me so I said yes. I arrived at 10:52 AM and I immediately felt so rushed. She told me to lay down and immediately started quickly slapping a scrub on my face, and wiping my face with a towel (not so gently by the way). A few minutes later, when she covered my face with a warm towel, she left for a while, I would say 10+ mins because the towel got very cold. Then she came back and slapped a mask on my face then left again for AT LEAST 30 mins! I was even calling out for her to ask if she was there and no answer. When she came back it was already 11:55 (I had taken the mask off at this point because I didn’t know if she was still there). This was my first time there and texted a friend who’s been there before to ask if that was normal and she said it definitely wasn’t for that long. Amy comes back and I ask her if everything’s ok because again she was gone for a long time. She said everything’s ok and that the mask is supposed to be for 20 mins. I told her I’ve been laying there for more than 30 minutes and before that she was gone for 10+ mins. She finally said she was with another customer. So she was clearly double booked. I’ve gotten many facials before and I’ve never had a facial where I just lay there for 40+ mins with nothing being done. Granted I only came here because I had a gift certificate but this is my first and last time here. I normally don’t leave reviews and I understand this is a small business but this was not a good experience. Amy should’ve been more communicative if she had another client, I would’ve been happy to wait considering my original appointment was for later anyway.
