The Dermatology Clinic - Newcastle - Valley Medical Center is conveniently located in the Medical Pavilion at 7203 129th Ave SE #200, Newcastle, WA 98056, USA. The clinic is situated within a medical complex, which can be an advantage for patients who may have other appointments or need access to other medical facilities. The location is relatively straightforward to find, which helps to streamline the patient experience.
Accessibility is a key factor for any medical provider. Being located in a medical pavilion often means there is dedicated parking and clear signage, which can reduce the stress of getting to an appointment. For Washington residents who are often managing busy schedules, this ease of access is a benefit. The clinic’s location within the larger Valley Medical Center system means that it is part of an established and recognizable healthcare presence in our community, which can be reassuring for many patients.
As a specialized dermatology clinic, the services offered are centered on the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions. While specific details of every treatment may vary, dermatology clinics typically offer a standard range of services to address common and complex skin concerns.
Typical services offered at a dermatology clinic:
- Acne Treatment: Diagnosis and management of various forms of acne, including prescription medications and professional advice.
- Skin Cancer Screenings: Routine checks for suspicious moles or lesions to aid in early detection and treatment of skin cancer.
- Eczema and Psoriasis Management: Developing long-term treatment plans for chronic inflammatory skin conditions.
- Dermatological Consultations: Addressing a variety of skin, hair, and nail concerns with a medical professional.
- Prescription Recommendations: Providing medical solutions, including oral and topical medications, for various skin conditions.
- Minor Surgical Procedures: Performing procedures like biopsies or the removal of skin tags, cysts, and certain lesions.
It is important to note that a clinical setting often focuses on medical treatment rather than cosmetic procedures, which is a key distinction for patients to be aware of. The clinic’s role is to diagnose and treat health-related skin issues.
The Dermatology Clinic in Newcastle is part of the Valley Medical Center network, a prominent feature that highlights its institutional backing. However, a review of customer feedback provides a more nuanced picture of the client experience, which is an important feature for locals to consider.
- Association with Valley Medical Center: Being part of a larger, well-established hospital system can suggest a high standard of medical care and access to a wider range of resources.
- Physician and Staff Experience: The clinic is staffed by medical professionals, including physicians and a support team. Customer feedback indicates a need for clear communication and a welcoming bedside manner to improve the patient experience.
- Focus on Medical Dermatology: The clinic’s primary function is to address medical skin concerns. This is a key feature that differentiates it from a purely cosmetic or aesthetic clinic.
- Patient Communication: Reviews highlight the importance of thorough explanations of diagnoses and treatment plans. This is a critical aspect of patient care that clinics strive to perfect.
- Appointment and Scheduling Policies: As with many clinics, there are policies regarding appointment times and cancellations. Public feedback suggests that these policies are strictly enforced, which is a feature of many large medical practices.
While the clinical expertise is a core feature, the overall patient experience—including staff interactions, communication, and scheduling—is an equally important consideration for potential visitors.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would not recommend Dr. Dimmer for a first-time dermatology visit or for addressing skin concerns. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the supervisor followed up with me regarding my complaint.During the appointment, Dr. Dimmer was not welcoming and appeared annoyed by my questions. He spent only 5–10 minutes with me and seemed rushed. He quickly diagnosed me with cystic acne after barely looking at my skin and did not address my concerns about the smaller bumps on my face. There was no explanation provided for the prescriptions he recommended, and he dismissed my hesitation about taking multiple pills a day. He also failed to offer any skincare advice or product recommendations. Overall, I left the appointment feeling unheard and unsatisfied
Apr 24, 2025 · Jasmine CarrilloWonder why 2.1 review, I made an appointment for to see Dr,Drimmer at 9.00 am. I was little late for the appointment which I called 8.50 am and they mentioned I have to be there before 9.10 or els I have to reschedule which I agree. I went there exactly 9.10 and no ones at the front desk, I take a Picture for proof 9.11 almost 9.12 someone came called Cavie, I explained her what happened and mentioned I called already about my delay. She said call center policy and uw policy is defarent our policy is 7 min only. Which I feel she make her own. What I see from her she don't know the policy or I'm dark skin, Hire some one knows the policy and knows how to talk more politely to the patient. Thanks ,
Oct 08, 2024 · milan wadugeI had an appointment with Dr Drimmer for a biopsy yesterday and found he and the whole staff to be kind and polite. He made the procedure as comfortable as possible. I did not feel he was rushed and all my questions were answered.
Mar 21, 2025 · Tamra MortonDr. Drummer and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were brought back early, and didn’t have to wait for the doctor at all. Dr. Drimmer was thorough, knowledgeable, and made sure all of our questions were answered. It was one of our best doctor visits.
Feb 12, 2025 · Tina SubherwalMy in office experience was fine, no complaints there. I went in for an itchy scalp, and had the doctor look at a mole while I was in there. He agreed that it looked questionable and did an in office shave to send it in for pathology. I was told he'd call me with pathology results in about a week. I didn't hear anything back and thought "no news is good news." 5 weeks later I got a call that my pathology report was positive for melanoma! They gave no explanation or apology for the delay. Then as I called around to surgery centers to schedule for the melanoma area to be removed their office was not at all helpful and actually quite rude when I called to have them send my pathology and photos to other offices. Their lack of client care was appalling!
