Brinton Lake Dermatology boasts several strong features, particularly within its cosmetic and clinical sectors, alongside some areas that, according to feedback, could benefit from improvement:
Exceptional Cosmetic Professionalism and Care: Dina, in the cosmetic sector, receives outstanding praise for being "beyond pleasant," "super informative," and a "prime example of how to treat people in customer facing professions." Her facials are described as "amazing," indicating a high level of skill and a focus on client experience.
Comprehensive Expertise: The clinic emphasizes having a "highly experienced, long-tenured staff, including three board-certified dermatologists," who offer "comprehensive medical dermatology and surgical dermatology, as well as an array of cosmetic procedures." This broad expertise ensures patients have access to a wide range of solutions.
Aesthetic and Spa-like Environment for Cosmetic Services: The cosmetic-dermatology area is described as having "soothing music, candles and other touches designed to make patients feel comfortable," offering a "spa-like" ambiance that reduces anxiety often associated with medical settings. This enhances the overall experience for cosmetic clients.
Commitment to Proven Technologies and Therapies: The clinic prides itself on "offering proven technologies and therapies" in both medical and cosmetic fields, indicating a commitment to effective, evidence-based treatments.
Patient-Focused Treatment for All Ages: The practice "excels at providing expert care to patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly," covering common and complex dermatologic conditions.
However, it is crucial to address the significant negative feedback concerning administrative operations:
Rude and Unhelpful Front Desk/Billing Staff: A major criticism highlights issues with the "front desk people and the billing people" being "very rude" and unhelpful, particularly regarding insurance inquiries. The expectation for clients to contact their insurance company rather than the office staff doing so for billing clarification is a significant point of frustration, indicating a lack of customer service in these departments.
Lack of Professionalism in Administrative Interactions: Complaints include staff refusing to give names and not actively trying to help resolve billing situations, leading to feelings of disrespect and a perception that staff "didn't want to do there JOB."

Brinton Lake Dermatology Services
Dermatologist
- Acne Scarring Treatment
If acne scars are a constant reminder of your past breakouts or unhappy teen years, you may want to investigate skin-smoothing procedures to help lessen their appearance. Our clinicians are equipped to provide our patients with the latest approved acne scar treatments, such as Sublative RF, Fraxel Laser Treatment and Bellafill.
- Acne Treatment
The four main causes of acne are excess oil, clogged pores, bacteria and inflammation. Waiting for acne to clear on its own can be frustrating. It can also lead to permanent scarring, poor self-image, depression and anxiety. To avoid these physical and emotional scars, dermatologists recommend that acne be properly treated. Treatment results may take time because the treatments do not target existing breakouts (which clear unaided) but work to prevent new eruptions.
- Aesthetician Services
Brinton Lake offers our patients skin renewal treatments, such as Laser Treatments, Thermi-Smooth, Skin-Pen II Microneedling, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Facials and Dermaplaning. Be sure to check our website for monthly promotions.
- CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is the only FDA approved procedure that helps eliminate fat cells safely and effectively. The CoolSculpting fat freezing procedure is completely non-surgical, so you can typically return to work and normal activities immediately.
- Discoloration & Spider Vein Treatment
Most people think that varicose veins are just an appearance or comfort issue, but their presence could be the sign of a more serious underlying condition. In addition to embarrassment and discomfort, varicose veins may result in a number of medical conditions. Most of these conditions concern changes in the skin but can also cause serious blood clots to develop. The doctors at Brinton Lake Dermatology provide sclerotherapy, leg vein and Fraxel laser treatments.
- ESKATA
ESKATA is the first and only FDA-approved topical treatment for raised Seborrheic Keratoses (SKs). SKs are harmless spots that pop up as we age. SK spots can be flat or raised with a color that is your normal skin tone or darker. ESKTATA uses its proprietary solution and soft-tip, pen-like applicator, to target and treat raised SKs.
- Eczema Treatment
Dermatitis, or inflammation of the skin, tends to produce dryness, scaling, and itching of the skin. Treatments may include both steroid and non-steroid creams used to reduce the inflammation and itch. Use of humidifiers and daily moisturizers can help repair the skin by increasing its hydration and helping it withstand potential irritants and allergens.
- Laser Hair Removal
Brinton Lake Dermatology uses a diode hair reduction/removal system that is the first technology to use combined energies to effectively and gently remove hair of many colors and types from all skin tones. This virtually painless, no downtime procedure is safe and effective on a variety of skin types and most darker hair colors. We also offer waxing services for the brows, lip, cheeks, chin or sideburns.
- Moh's Surgery
Mohs surgery treats skin cancer through a highly specialized, precise technique that removes the cancer in stages as deemed necessary, one tissue layer at a time. This procedure offers the maximum removal of cancer with minimum damage to the surrounding healthy tissue, as well as the smallest incision possible for better healing and cosmetic results.
- Moles / Skin Cancer Prevention
Non-melanoma skin cancers are the most common cancers in men and women in the United States. Diagnosing these cancers at their earliest stages, preferably in a pre-cancerous state if possible, is important because removal of the cells can be performed as a simple, in-office procedure. It’s recommended that concerned patients schedule an annual skin check with one of our licensed dermatologists.
- Psoriasis Treatment
Psoriasis is a persistent skin disorder in which there are red, thickened areas with silvery scales, often on the scalp, elbows, knees and lower back. Some cases are mild, while others are severe and cover large areas of the body. The four main types of psoriasis include guttate, inverse, pustular and erythrodermic. Prescription medications include topical creams such as steroids, anthralin, vitamin D, retinoids and coal tar.
- Ringworm Treatment
Ringworm is not a worm, it’s a fungus of the skin. There are a number of different fungi that infect the skin and can cause different kinds of rashes and issues. Most common fungi respond well to traditional antifungal medications.
- Rosacea Treatment
Rosacea is a common skin disease that begins as a tendency to flush or blush easily. As Rosacea progresses, people often develop persistent redness across the nose and cheeks. Eventually this redness may spread to the forehead and chin. Effective treatment of rosacea involves tailoring a plan to each individual patient. At times, a combination of treatments may be needed, depending on the severity of the case and the presence or absence of eye involvement. Many rosacea treatments are applied directly to the skin in the forms of creams, gels, washes and pads. Faster results may be seen with oral antibiotics.
- Skin Care Products
We sell a variety of skin care products at our office in Glen Mills. Popular brand names, such as, PhytoCeuticals, Latisse, IS Clinical as well as our own line of skin care products.
- Skin Rejuvenation
Skin rejuvenation and resurfacing can be achieved in a number of ways, ranging from laser, light and other energy-based treatments to chemical peels and other non-ablative methods. The clinicians at Brinton Lake Dermatology provide IPL, SublativeRF and Fraxel treatments.
- Skin Tightening
Sublime (formerly ReFirme®) technology features the revolutionary elos™ combination of Bi-Polar Radio Frequency and Light energies to precisely heat the dermal tissue within the targeted treatment area. This stimulates collagen production and produces a firming effect in loose skin. Fine wrinkles are reduced, noticeable lifting can be observed, and the texture of your skin (suitable for all skin types) becomes smoother, more luminous and toned.
- Vitiligo Treatment
Vitiligo is a medical condition that causes the skin to lose color. Some people develop a few spots that lighten or turn completely white. Others can have widespread loss of skin color. Vitiligo can develop on any part of the body, but commonly begins on the hands, forearms, feet or face. The first line of treatment in vitiligo is usually topical creams or ointments. If there is no response, other treatments may be considered if they are approved by the patient’s insurance company.
- Wrinkle Reduction
Over time, repeated movement of powerful muscles on the face can cause the skin to fold or furrow, resulting in stubborn lines (dynamic lines). To combat this, we offer popular wrinkle reducing treatments such as Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers and fraxel laser treatments.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I cannot speak highly enough of Dina, in the cosmetic sector of Brinton Lake Dermatology. From the moment I walked in the door she was beyond pleasant. The facial was amazing and she was super informative. Dina is a prime example of how to treat people in costumer facing professions. Thank you Dina for such a great experience I will most definitely be back!!
Jul 10, 2025 · Shea NearyI just was on the phone with the front desk people and the billing people and they were very rude and seems like they didn't want to call my insurance company to figure out the information they just wanted me to do it. Working in an office that deals with insurance the person who works at the office calls not the client. I got referred her by a girl that works is the office and she is the best. The front desk and billing people need to learn how to do there JOB and to treat their clients with respect and not speak to them like they are dumb. They never gave me there names and didn't even try to help the situation. No body wants to do there job anymore.
Apr 16, 2025 · Sabrina CurranI have been going to Brinton Lakes for over a decade. The docs, nurses and PAs are amazing. As several have already mentioned, the front office staff are rude and judgmental. If you can get past the front desk staff to the practice itself it’s well worth it. But the front desk definitely could use some training on professionalism.
Dec 31, 2024 · Sonya HIf you get covid or a serious illness that prevents you from attending your appt that day, you will be charged 100.00 and gaslighted about how your cancellation message didn’t mention being ill. Moral of the story - it’s better to go in with COVID than cancel an appt.
Apr 07, 2025 · Stacey SalamonI have been going to this office for a few years now, and have been very happy. Recently I met Dr. Shiner. She is an expert in her field and at the top of her game. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area. All of the technicians and support staff has been very professional and supportive as well from the front desk to the technicians.
