When choosing a medical professional, trust, empathy, and clear communication are often as important as medical expertise. This overview aims to provide factual information based on available public feedback regarding past experiences with Addison Ritchie at the Medical Faculty Office Building in Tampa, FL, helping local users understand relevant aspects of patient care.
Addison Ritchie was previously associated with the Medical Faculty Office Building at 13330 USF Laurel Dr, Tampa, FL 33612, USA. While the goal of any medical practice is to provide excellent care, public reviews indicate that patient experiences with Addison Ritchie at this specific location were, at times, significantly challenging. These accounts highlight concerns regarding patient comfort, communication, and the overall professional demeanor, underscoring the critical role that compassion and patient support play in a medical setting. It is important for Florida locals to be aware of such feedback when navigating their healthcare choices.
The Medical Faculty Office Building is located at 13330 USF Laurel Dr, Tampa, FL 33612, USA. This address places it within the USF Health campus, a prominent medical and academic hub in North Tampa. For residents across Tampa and surrounding areas, including New Tampa, Carrollwood, and Lutz, the location is generally accessible via major roadways. As part of a larger medical facility, it typically offers designated parking areas, although patients should always verify specific parking instructions before their visit. Its integration within a large university medical complex means that it is a recognizable landmark for many in the region. - Minor Dermatological Procedures: Including biopsies, cryosurgery for lesions, or other in-office treatments for skin concerns.
- Aesthetic Dermatology Services: This might have included non-surgical cosmetic procedures, such as neurotoxin injections (like BOTOX®), dermal fillers, microneedling, or recommendations for medical-grade skincare products.
- Patient Consultations: Providing diagnoses and discussing treatment plans for various dermatological issues.
- Referrals: Connecting patients with other specialists if their condition required broader medical attention.
It is important to note that the provided reviews focus more on the patient experience and interpersonal aspects rather than a detailed list of successful treatments. Public information indicates that Addison Ritchie has since left this practice location.
Based on the provided patient reviews, the following points emerge as significant features and highlights of past experiences with Addison Ritchie at this location. It's important to frame these as insights from patient perspectives, which can guide future expectations when choosing a medical provider:
- Lack of Compassion and Empathy: A primary concern highlighted by multiple reviews is a perceived "cold" demeanor and "completely without compassion or empathy," which is a significant negative feature for patients seeking medical care.
- Refusal of Support Person: Patients reported that requests for a support person (e.g., a husband) to be present during a procedure were "absolutely refused," despite the room size being adequate, leading to increased patient anxiety.
- Pressure and Threats: One review explicitly states a feeling of being "threatened" to make a quick decision about proceeding with a procedure, which is highly detrimental to patient autonomy and comfort.
- Difficulty Obtaining Results: A significant point of frustration was the refusal to provide test results over the phone, insisting on another appointment even when the patient lived far away and appointments were difficult to secure.
- Inconsistent Professionalism: The reviews suggest a pattern of "rude" treatment towards both patients and co-workers, leading to her name becoming "infamous" at the location after her departure.
- Impact on Patient Well-being: The negative interactions reportedly caused significant distress and discomfort, making a medical procedure "so much harder" than it needed to be.
These points represent critical feedback that prospective patients often consider when selecting a healthcare provider, emphasizing that the human element of care is paramount.

Addison Ritchie Reviews
I had a horrible experience with Addison Richie. I was very nervous about a procedure she wanted to do and ask for my husband to be in the room with me and she absolutely refused, saying the room was too small for him. It was actually a very large room. She threatened me, if I didn't decide quickly to proceed that she would just cancel my appointment. I did proceed but it could have been so much easier for me with a support person. I found her to be cold and completely without compassion or empathy. When I called two weeks later to get the results she refused to tell me, insisting that I book another appointment, although it takes months to get appointments and is an hour away from me. When I insisted that I speak to her supervisor, I was given my results and an apology. Soon, afterward she left the practice, and now her name is infamous at this location. I think she treated everyone, patients and co workers rudely. TSK tsk, Ms Richie, compassion should be the foremost quality of a medical professional, you failed miserably.
